Sparkpoint Oakland, a part of a EBALDC (East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation) is dedicated to improving financial stability for Oakland residents by providing financial education, resources for job access, and supportive programs that enable economic empowerment. Located in Oakland's Chinatown, Sparkpoint serves the broader Oakland community, including a significant portion of the AAPI community. One of Sparkpoint's key initiatives, the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program, provides free tax assistance, primarily serving AAPI at Asian Resource Center.
